New Construction Backyard
San Diego, CA.
This project included the installation of Pet/kid Friendly Turf, Concrete, Sienna Small pebbles, and Drainage.
This home is a new construction home, it started as a blank dirt canvas. The homeowners dreamed of a landscape that is functional and low maintenace. They wanted a concrete area to set a table and some chairs and a turf area to play with the dogs. We began the project with installing surface drains for the water to drain to the edge of the property. Then we removed 6” of dirt from the backyard. We backfilled class 2 road base to create a stable foundation for the concrete and turf. The artificial turf features a 94oz dark green face to with a breathable backing to maximize drainage and minimize smell. Envirofill and odorzorb were used to infill the turf providing antimicrobial and antifungal properties creating a clean low maintenance landscape. Bender board installed flush to the turf provides a sleek look for the 2-3” Sienna small pebbles to lay.
