Kids Turf Backyard
San Diego, CA.
This project included the installation of Pet/kid Friendly Turf, Concrete, black beach pebbles, and oil staining the horizontal fence.
This home was previously landscaped with sod. unfortunately, the sod got destroyed by gophers, the kids and dogs running around. The homeowners dreamed of a landscape that did not get muddy in the winter time but also stayed green year round. We began the project with removing 20 yards of dirt from the backyard. We backfilled class 2 road base to create a stable foundation for the concrete and turf. The concrete steppers are spaced out with 4” spacing. The artificial turf features a lightweight bright green face to make cleaning easy and optimizing the drainage. Envirofill and odorzorb were used to infill the turf providing antimicrobial and antifungal properties creating a clean low maintenance landscape. Meandering bender board installed flush to the turf provides a sleek look for the 2” black button pebbles to lay. Complimented by a horizontal fence restored with Brazilian rosewood oil stain.
